Provider Employment Opportunities

For the qualified applicant, PPNP offers a competitive salary in addition to malpractice, health insurance, vacation, CME expense, and other benefits.

As an organization, PPNP has several other exceptional qualities. We are committed to providing the highest quality possible in pediatric care. The group itself is very supportive and collegial.  We are flexible regarding scheduling needs and input on practice issues is welcome.  Although removed from tertiary care centers, consultation and support is available within the group, and communication with subspecialists is increasingly swift and sure.  This permits the full use of your pediatric training and allows the satisfaction of providing a complete range of care thus truly making a difference.

PPNP is committed to serving our patients by continuing to exist and thrive despite the liability crisis. We are managing to do this by attracting younger physicians, nurse practitioners, and physicians assistants who, like ourselves, plan to be here long term. Additionally, Act 13 requires litigation to be pursued locally; we have a more physician friendly rural environment that lowers malpractice costs. Finally, 3 of our 4 offices are currently "Rural Health Clinics" (RHC). Thus, providers may be eligible for loan reimbursement programs. For patients, being a RHC requires a sliding fee scale for uninsured or under insured families, increases access for patients seeking care and increases Medicaid payments enabling us to keep staff and physician salaries competitive.

Northeast Pennsylvania has many outdoor recreational opportunities such as snow and water skiing, boating, hunting, fishing, golfing and hiking in all 3 counties.  Nearby Scranton and the Wyoming Valley area offers minor league baseball and hockey as well as philharmonic and theater (national and local).  For the shoppers, there are 3 large malls and convenient local shopping for necessities. The area population is rapidly growing, leading to a great need for new pediatric providers who are well qualified to deal with varied medical problems.  The ideal candidate will enjoy parents both of the small town homespun variety as well as the more sophisticated suburban style.  The resulting mix of populations allows a refreshingly varied and enjoyable pediatric experience.
